Special Education Services

There are many acronyms in Special Education and to help with the understanding of these the appropriate name and acronym have been provided.
The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) is a federal law that mandates and affirms the right of all children with disabilities to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). The purpose of the iDEA is to ensure that all children with disabilities have available access to not only FAPE but that emphasizes special education and related services designed to meet their unique needs and prepare them for employment and independent living and continued growth in personal confidence.
